The board of directors of the Sports Boulevard Foundation (SBF) approved designs for a Global Sports Tower in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Designed to stand at 130m and with an internal area of 84,000sq.m, the Global Sports Tower is set to be the tallest sports tower in the world. It will feature over 30 different sports facilities, including the world’s tallest indoor climbing wall and the world’s highest running track at the top of the tower. The Global Sports Tower is part of the Sports Boulevard Project, which sets to create 4.4 million square metres of greenery and open spaces and 50 multi-disciplinary sports facilities in Riyadh.
