Su Zhanhang, Vice President of Guangdong Chimelong Group, stated during the sub-forum on "Technology Empowerment, Industry Support and Full Efforts to Promote New Achievements of the 'Hundred, Thousand, Ten thousand Project'" that in response to the provincial Party Committee's call for implementing the "Hundred, Thousand, Ten thousand Project," Chimelong Group has invested in constructing the Qingyuan Chimelong Project based on a planning concept centered around nature, ecology, population, culture, and tourism. This initiative aims to drive development within counties, towns, and villages through cultural tourism industry promotion.
According to reports, since 2016, Chimelong Group has allocated over 6 billion yuan towards constructing the Qingyuan Chimelong International Tourism Resort. This investment has effectively stimulated both local investments and promotions within Qingcheng District of Qingyuan City while accelerating fixed investment growth. The project extends its influence to two towns—Longtang and Yuantan—in addition to 15 village groups. The first phase is planned for mid-2024 with an anticipated annual visitor count reaching 10 million visitors; this will significantly boost economic development within characteristic cultural and tourism towns in Qingyuan.
