Vietnam's newest water park "Sam Son" opened in June 2024 (in its first expansion stage). With unique slide installations - including some of the highest in Asia - and the mixed concept of water and theme park, the entire "Sam Son Complex" will become the leading outdoor entertainment destination in northern Vietnam. The sprawling amusement complex, located about 15 kilometers from Than Hoa and 1.5 kilometers from Sam Son Beach, covers an area of 33.5 hectares.

Sun World, the entertainment brand of Vietnam's Sun Group and operator of Sam Son and six other theme parks, promises "thrills and spills" for the whole family. "Get ready for thrilling experiences with [...] a variety of high-speed slides."

"With over 30 thrilling, high-performance waterslides in 8 complexes, Sam Son Water Park offers several remarkable attractions", developed and provided by globally successful water attraction developer and manufacturer ProSlide. "We are thrilled to partner with visionaries like Sun Group to strategically develop world-class water park experiences in Vietnam," says Steve Avery (Vice President of Business Development APAC, ProSlide)

ProSlide and Sun Group rely on systems from Sunkid, the world market leader in outdoor conveyor belt solutions, to transport the tubes and rafts. A total of four customized systems were delivered to Vietnam from the development and production site in Bad Goisern (Austria), installed there by the customer and put into operation by Sunkid.

With a drive power of between 5.5 and 7.5 KW, all of them are designed precisely for the transportation of the respective skid tires. Two systems, with total lengths of 40 and 50 meters, are from the innovative vertical conveyor generation, which guarantees comfortable and safe (steep) transport in the tightest spaces. The other two tire conveyor belts transport tubes at an angle, over total lengths of 63 and 84 meters respectively, using the tried-and-tested "Blue Eye" conveyor belt. Its design and rubber compound reliably prevent the wet tubes from slipping back, while at the same time ensuring the best possible drainage of the remaining water on the belt surface.

Sunkid CEO Emanuel Wohlfarter expresses his satisfaction: "This latest Vietnam project and, above all, the trust placed in us by the "big players" ProSlide and Sun Group illustrates the reputation we have earned over many years in the water park industry: With our complete product portfolio of water conveyor belts, we can now serve all projects, including special requirements. Our product quality (made in Austria, Europe) and worldwide service quality is a decisive purchasing criterion for our customers."
